Legacy Cornerstone Academy is a faith-based private school in Lubbock, Texas — built on the belief that God designed every child to learn, grow, and thrive in ways the traditional system was never built to honor.

Legacy Cornerstone Academy was founded in 2026 with a simple but radical belief: that every child is fearfully and wonderfully made — with a unique design, a unique purpose, and a unique capacity that no standardized test can measure.
We are an independent, privately-funded Christian nonprofit school. That means we answer to God — not to government mandates, not to standardized testing requirements, not to the pressure of doing things the way they've always been done.
We serve PreK through 3rd Grade, with plans to grow alongside our students. Our classrooms are small by design. Our relationships are deep by intention. Our foundation is Christ — in every lesson, every conversation, every decision.

We believe learning was never meant to be complicated. Before standardized tests, before rigid curricula, before the industrial model of education took over — children learned through relationship, through wonder, through doing. That is what we are returning to.

Everything at Legacy Cornerstone Academy flows from one conviction: that Jesus Christ is Lord — of our school, our classrooms, our curriculum, and our children.
We do not add faith to education. We build education on faith. Scripture is not a subject we teach on Fridays. It is the lens through which we see every subject, every child, every day.
Every child is made in the image of God — worthy of dignity, love, and an education that honors that truth.
Character is not separate from academics — it is the foundation of them.
The Holy Spirit is welcome in our school — as Teacher, Comforter, and Guide.
We are accountable to God first, and that accountability makes us better educators and better people.

Meet Amy Lucero
Head of School
Amy Lucero brings a deep love for children and an unshakeable conviction that every child deserves an education that sees them — truly sees them — and calls out the best in them.
Mentored by Linda Marriott, Amy has spent years studying how children learn, how faith shapes character, and how the right environment can unlock potential that traditional schooling often overlooks. She leads Legacy Cornerstone not as an administrator, but as a shepherd — with warmth, wisdom, and a Spirit-led vision for what education can be.
Amy believes that the most important thing a school can give a child is not a test score. It is a foundation. A sense of identity. A knowledge that they are loved by God and capable of more than they can imagine.

We are currently enrolling for the 2026–2027 school year. Legacy Cornerstone Academy serves PreK through 3rd Grade in Lubbock, Texas.
